ABOUT

Studio Prelude is a collaborative practice working at the intersection of scenography, art and design. We create temporary and permanent environments and installations in public spaces.

The studio is a truly multidisciplinary network of collaborators. We use creative processes of scenography in each project, which we combine with design thinking and our skills in the built environment.

Viewing our living environment as a series of continuously changing experiences, the studio places a particular emphasis on duration, the narrative emedded within each project, and its contemporary relevance. Our work strives to erase the line between story and telling, form and function.

Experimental at heart, we value variety in context, narrative, and scale. We have worked across a range of media and spaces, and realised projects that last under one hour as well as an environment for a one thousand year cycle.
